Say what you want drawn

Not a chatbot bolted to a canvas. Ask in the language of a draughtsman and the drawing lands on your sheet as ordinary geometry — polylines, arcs, hatches and text on real layers. Then you take over: trim it, offset it, dimension it, rename the layers, save it as DWG.

Is this really free, with no limits?

The CAD is. There is no account, no trial clock, no watermark, no file-size cap and no paid tier holding features back; the web version and the desktop versions for Windows and macOS are all the same complete program. The one thing that costs money is the AI agent, which runs on a small pay-as-you-go balance — because every request it makes costs us money too. A new account starts with credit to try it.

Can it open and save DWG files?

Yes. Drawings save as native DWG in the 2018 format, or as DXF for everything else — laser cutters, CNC, LibreCAD, QCAD, FreeCAD. Files you make here open in any CAD that reads DWG, with their layers and entities intact.

What can the AI agent actually draw?

Describe a drawing in a draughtsman's words — a floor plan with given room sizes, a section, a mechanical part — and it drafts it onto your sheet as ordinary editable geometry. Nothing it makes is locked or special: it is polylines and text you can trim, offset and rename. It needs an account and a little credit; the CAD around it does not.

Do I need to install anything?

Not for the web version — it opens in a browser tab and starts drawing. The desktop version — Windows or macOS — is there for working offline, for large drawings and for file associations, and installs in a couple of clicks.

How is it free when big CAD suites cost thousands?

It is a focused 2D drafting program rather than a thirty-year platform with 3D, plugins and industry verticals. That is a smaller thing to build and run — and the parts most drafting work actually uses are the parts it has.

Are my drawings uploaded anywhere?

The desktop version works entirely offline. In the browser, drawing happens locally in the page; the free converters below do process the file you upload on the server, and those uploads are retained so a failed conversion can be debugged.
